More information / what you need to know
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal government program. It aims to provide assistance with dental services for Canadian residents with a household income of less than $90,000 a year and who don’t have dental benefits.
IT IS NOT A FREE DENTAL PROGRAM.
Depending on their adjusted family net income, patients may have to make a co-payment of up to 60%. They may also have to pay costs the CDCP does not cover.
THE CDCP DOES NOT COVER ALL DENTAL SERVICES.
Before you start any treatment, you should understand your dental care costs. Please tell your dentist if you plan to use the CDCP benefits. This dental office may or may not take part in the CDCP.
Insured payment coverage/schedules
Depending on the income level of the CDCP-insured patient, they will have differing levels of coverage.

The federal government has committed to rolling out the CDCP coverage in stages. Please view the link above to see the CDCP coverage and rollout.
